Folkestone Skabour Festival – the final line-up

26 August 2010.

The organisers of Folkestone Skabour Festival have to announced the final line-up for the weekend of 3-5 September. This comprises of 14 bands and 13 DJs over the course of the event with two free days of music at the harbour area and evening ticketed events at four venues across the town. Additionally, there will be a Ska Market and ‘Show & Shine’ of what the organisers expect to be up to 150 vintage scooters, followed by an organised scooter rideout around the town.

Charity Mod event rides into Kentish Town

Fundraisers for veterinary charity PDSA are celebrating the 60s at a special event in London on Saturday 2 October 2010. Throughout the day, Mod memorabilia and vintage 60s music and clothing, such as Fred Perry, Ben Sherman, Levis, plus other iconic clothing and accessories including parkas, loafers and trilbies, will be on sale at the charity’s Kentish Town store.

Folkestone Skabour Festival

13 July 2010.

Folkestone Skabour Festival has announced that final permission for the use of outdoor locations around the Folkestone Harbour side has been received.This means that all systems are go to run a fantastic weekend of free entertainment of live Ska music and DJ sets providing a family friendly atmosphere in the daytime on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September. These events are supported by headline ticketed events on 3 and 4 September. The evening headliner acts include: The Beat, old school Ska performer and his band Arthur Kay the Originals (celebrating 30 years of live performance) plus current top Ska band Intensified.
